Confluence Building Audio Video Renovation

3 Training Room Divide/Combine Completed July 2023

We recently completed this 3-way, divide/combine, hybrid training space for the Community College of Denver as part of a larger project, across multiple buildings. The goal of this project was to update these rooms to a reliable, easy-to-use, commercial-grade AV system. To accomplish this Colorado Audio Video decided to use our favorite AV system backbone – Q-SYS.

The Q-SYS ecosystem from QSC is what powers this project and provides all the DSP, Control, Conferencing Capabilities and Video Switching that these rooms run on. Currently, we have Bring Your Own Device Conferencing, 4K Wired and Wireless Presentation and spatially aware, ceiling-mounted Array Microphones but, with QSC’s ever-evolving offerings, they will soon be able to upgrade to functionality like single-wire USB-C connectivity for video presentation AND conferencing as well as AI-based camera tracking for the cost of a license and a few hours of programming. In addition to all of this, we had the room’s lecterns custom designed and built to the specifications of the Client and this project allowing for streamlined functionality alongside clean layout and storage. These are the types of future thoughtful designs that CoAV prides itself in deploying and we thank the Community College of Denver for allowing us the opportunity.

Businessolvers as their name might imply, knows that when businesses need solutions, wasting time is wasting money. When they decided what they needed was outside of their scope, they turned to Colorado Audio Video’s expertise to minimize time wasted. Working with the clients clear vision for the system we were able to accommodate the unconventional layout of their conference areas while maintaining the systems ease of use. Utilizing glass partitions and a networked audio video system the client was able to maximize their workspace. Allowing for 2 independent video conference rooms and company break area, to be turned into a large meeting hall with video conferencing, as easy as pushing a button. The flexibility of the system also allows for Businessolvers to let their clients use the system as easily as one of their own employees.

When asked to provide a low cost solution with big cost functionality, the owners of Great Divide turned to the experts at Colorado Audio Video. Utilizing a modern networked audio video solution, Great Divide has the ability to stream satellite television to all of their over 20 displays. The cost savings of using networked video and a dedicated satellite control system allowed Great Divide to also allow for 8 zones of audio to better manage the volume and cater to the needs of their customers. Whether they want a quiet dining experience or the sound of the announcer for their favorite game, Great Divide has it covered.

While Kiln’s, clients focus on small budget workspaces, the leadership at Kiln knows that their clients dreams of big success require big impact. When asked to help achieve that, Colorado Audio Video worked with the leaders at Kiln to realize their vision for an professional looking solution that any of their various clients could use with ease. With a 165″ slim bezel video wall, digital wireless microphones, scene recallable DMX lighting effects, and one touch streaming, Kiln’s clients are now able to make professional looking presentations with ease.

When the Sportsbook wanted get rid of their growing pile of various branded remotes and the frustration involved with trying to meet the needs of their busy customers, they turned to Colorado Audio Video for a solution. They required the solution be complex enough to have any content available anywhere their customers might ask, but they also needed it to be simple enough that any could use it. After years of dealing with various parts from different manufacturers, ease of upgrade and the ability to grow was also at the top of the list. Lastly but most importantly, this all needed to be delivered at a cost that provided excellent value.

By utilizing modern networked video distribution technology, and focusing on cost efficiency Colorado Audio Video delivered a solution that supports 20+ 4K sources at once to almost 50 displays. Due to networked video distributions nature, almost limitless additional connections can be added with minimal extra investment. Using product that can be adaptable to various use cases Colorado Audio Video was also able to keep the key components in the system down to only 3 different parts! While we all hope electronics never fail, the reality isn’t the case and downtime needs to be minimized. By using fewer part numbers, keeping an extra on hand is now a much more feasible solution. Turning a mobile DJ input in to a replacement part for over 70 identical parts in the system.
